Zakhyiah Monique Death – A tragic shooting near 31st Street Beach in Chicago on Wednesday night has left one young woman dead and another injured.

Upon arrival, officers found two women suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were identified as 22-year-old Zakhyiah Monique and another 22-year-old woman whose identity has not been disclosed.
Zakhyiah Monique was found with multiple gunshot wounds to her chest. Despite being rushed to Insight Hospital, she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The second victim sustained a gunshot wound to her thigh and was treated at the University of Chicago Medical Center. She is reported to be in good condition.
