Death; Yvie Somerville has died, Noosa Arts Theatre community mourns

Yvie Somerville Death – We regret to inform you of our dear friend Yvie Somerville’s demise on June 21st. We are all deeply heartbroken by her loss, but we are also kept cheery by her infectious smile and priceless memories.

Yvie was a beacon of positivity, humor, and bravery, even in the face of her battle with cancer. Her acting skills were widely recognized and celebrated throughout the Sunshine Coast.

The Noosa Arts community was especially fortunate to have Yvie as an active member, where she embraced every role with enthusiasm and talent, from a pantomime evil fairy to a compassionate nun.

Those who had the privilege of acting alongside Yvie, directing her, or simply spending time in her company will fondly remember her generous spirit. Yvie’s presence always infused productions with joy and excitement, making every performance a memorable experience.

Yvie’s courageous fight against cancer was a testament to her indomitable spirit. As she once said, “I will fight this cancer until the very end.” Her resilience and determination inspired many, and her legacy will continue to do so.

Rest in peace, dear Yvie. Your friends from all over the world send their love and heartfelt condolences. You will be deeply missed, but your vibrant spirit and the joy you brought to our lives will never be forgotten.
