Wingate University Lockdown Today: 1 person shot, shooting at Wingate University baseball stadium
Multiple enforcement officers and emergency crews are responding to an incident of a shooting at Wingate University in Wingate, North Carolina. According to the report, an individual has been shot at the school campus.
There is currently a heavy police response and a helicopter on the way as well. Wingate University has issued immediate lock-down procedures for the Wingate campus. People are advised to lock all doors and windows and await further instructions.
The identity and condition of the victim are unknown at the time of this report. There has been no arrest reportedly made and no suspect description has been released to the public by the responding police officers.
