Westport Shooting Investigations: Kansas City Police on scene after 5 hurt following gunfire
A gunfire near a Westport pub injured many people Wednesday night. At 8:03 p.m., the Kansas City Police Department responded to a shooting incident at W. 40th Street and Westport Road.
A spokeswoman for the Kansas City Police Department disclosed that five people were hurt, three critically and two seriously. A shooting in Westport on Wednesday night injured many people, and Kansas City police are investigating. KCPD officers responded to the gunshot just after 8 p.m. at a business near W. 40th Street and Westport Road, according to KCPD dispatch.
