Warren Butler Sr. Death – A 78-year-old man died following a rough-terrain vehicle accident on Wednesday, according to the Saluda County Coroner’s Office.
The collision occurred just outside the city limits of Saluda on Highway 378 and Columbia Highway near Barr Woods Road at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The coroner’s office reported that Warren Butler, Sr., 78, of Saluda, died as a result of the crash.
The incident involved a utility vehicle and a full-size Ford pickup truck. Butler, who was driving the utility vehicle, was transported to Self Regional Healthcare Emergency Department in Greenwood. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital.
An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the exact cause of death. The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Saluda County Coroner’s Office are conducting an investigation into the crash.
