Waco Homicide: Austin Bowar, 22, identified as victim shot dead on Waco’s North 6th Street

Waco Homicide – Waco Police have confirmed that the victim of Thursday morning’s shooting on North 6th Street is 22-year-old Austin Bowar.

Authorities continue to actively search for a suspect in connection with the shooting incident. To aid in the investigation, Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for any information leading to an arrest.

The initial report of shots fired prompted police response to the 1100 block of North 6th Street at 1:14 a.m. on Thursday. Upon arrival, officers discovered Bowar with a gunshot wound. He was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries.

In their efforts to bring closure to the case and apprehend the perpetrator, Waco Police urge anyone with relevant information to come forward. Individuals can contact the police department directly at 254-750-7500.
