Tyshaun Johnson Darlington SC Death – In the early hours of Sunday, a fatal shooting shook the quiet town of Darlington, South Carolina.
According to the Darlington County Coroner, Todd Hardee, 23-year-old Tyshaun Johnson, a local resident, was killed in the incident. Investigations begin to determine the circumstances that led to his untimely death.
The shooting occurred at approximately 1:33 a.m. along the 100 block of South Main Street, near the downtown public square. The area, typically known for its small-town charm, was instead the scene of a tragic crime that would leave the town reeling. Emergency services quickly responded, but despite their efforts, Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:30 a.m., just under an hour after the shooting.

According to Darlington Police Chief Jimmy Davis, officers were forced to call in additional units from outside the immediate area to help manage the situation. Chief Davis mentioned that crowd control became a primary concern, given the emotionally charged atmosphere in the aftermath of the shooting. “The scene was chaotic,” Davis said. “In situations like this, emotions run high, and we had to ensure that everyone stayed safe while we worked to secure the area and preserve any potential evidence.”
