Trinity Sullivan, 63-Year-Old Female Pedestrian Struck Dead by Car While Crossing Newburg Road, Louisville
A fatal incident occurred on Wednesday evening as a woman was struck by a vehicle while crossing Newburg Road, as confirmed by the Louisville Metro Police Department.
Responding to reports of a pedestrian being hit at the junction of Newburg Road and East Indian Trail around 6 p.m., LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis detailed the incident.
Preliminary findings suggest that the woman was traversing Newburg Road when she was struck by a vehicle, as outlined in the official statement. The driver remained present at the scene until the arrival of law enforcement.
Upon police arrival, immediate medical assistance was administered to the woman before EMS services could take over. Despite efforts, she succumbed to her injuries at UofL Hospital.
Identified by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, the deceased was named as 63-year-old Trinity Sullivan.
LMPD’s Traffic Unit has assumed responsibility for the ongoing investigation into this tragic event.
