Trey Harris Obituary Henderson KY, Death – An eight-year-old child from Madisonville who passed away not too long ago has had his cause of death disclosed by the Hopkins County Coroner’s Office.
In March, we reported that the police had informed us that Trey Harris, who was eight years old, had passed away. It was shortly after the announcement of the young boy’s loss that a warning was issued regarding strawberries that were sold at a school fundraiser. Harris had consumed strawberries just before he passed away.
What happened to Trey Harris?
Antonio Person, Trey’s stepfather, was taken into custody and charged with fentanyl trafficking not long after Trey’s passing. After the strawberries were sent out for testing, officials said on Tuesday that the results of the tests were “negative” and that the berries were safe to consume if they had been stored in the appropriate manner.
A new set of information regarding Harris’s passing was made public by the Hopkins County Coroner’s Office on Wednesday morning.
The Kentucky State Medical Examiner’s Office decided that “Fentanyl Intoxication” was the cause of death, and that the manner of death was “Undetermined.” This information was provided by the Coroner’s Office.
As of right now, Person is being charged with manslaughter in the second degree in connection with the case, in addition to other charges such as fentanyl trafficking, weapons possession, and others.
Who was Trey Harris?
Trey Major Harris was born to his mother Whitney and his father Dwaine on November 11, 2015, in the city of Henderson, Kentucky. Ever since that day, he has graced their lives with an abundance of love and joy, as well as the lives of his family and friends.
Trey left a lasting imprint on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, including his school, Hanson Elementary, and the class he was a part of in the second grade. In addition to having a passion for all sports, Trey was particularly enthusiastic about the following: baseball, basketball, skateboarding, and football.
For him, riding his four-wheeler was the activity that he enjoyed the most out of all of his hobbies. Because Trey enjoyed being of assistance to other people, he had an ambition of becoming a police officer when he was an adult.
He had a lot of fun and was especially fond of playing jokes on his mother and giggling. He was a child who loved to have fun. He had a tremendous love for music, and he had an incredible passion for rap music. Some of his favorite performers were Rod Wave, Bossman DLow, and Finesse. These artists were among his favorites.
In the wake of this tragic incident, we extend our deepest condolences to the families affected by this heart-wrenching loss. As they grapple with the indescribable pain of bidding farewell to their loved ones, we share in their sorrow and stand in solidarity during this time of profound grief.
