Toni Blanchard Air Med Death Lafayette LA:- Toni Blanchard, chief flight nurse and education supervisor of Acadian Ambulance, passed away.
She was announced dead on Sunday, August 18, 2024. Toni Blanchard of Lafayette Louisiana died at the age of 51. As of the publication date, no cause of death for Toni Blanchard had been announced.
Slidell Police Department released the following statement:
“Please join us as we pray for the comfort and healing of Acadian Air Med, friends, and family as they mourn the loss of one of their own, Toni Blanchard. May you rest easy, Toni, and thank you for your service.”
About Toni Blanchard
Following her graduation from what was then the University of Southwestern Louisiana, Toni (born in 1973) started working as an EMT-Basic for Acadian Ambulance in 1992.
Her extensive background includes work in a wide range of settings, including but not limited to: ambulatory care, emergency rooms, catheterization labs, recovery rooms, intensive care units, travel and agency nursing, rotor and fixed-wing operations, home health, electronic medical records (EMR), data entry, case management, insurance verification, reviews of quality improvement charts, Medicare and Medicaid audits, and more.
Toni has been a licensed flight registered nurse and flight paramedic with Air Med since 2016. As the head flight nurse and supervisor of education, she is in charge of the flight nurse and paramedic certification process and teaches and oversees all CAMTS education programs.
In addition to managing Air Med’s blood program, she is in charge of auditing flight nurse documentation, clinical practice clearance for registered nurses, and other related tasks.
