Tiffany Shetzler Death – A 44-year-old lady was killed in a pedestrian collision in New Castle County on September 17, 2024, and the Delaware State Police are investigating.
A maroon Hyundai Sonata approached the intersection with Southgate Boulevard at 8:23 p.m. Tiffany Shetzler, 44, of Middletown, tried to cross Boulden Boulevard from north to south at the same moment.
Shetzler was hit by a Hyundai as she crossed the roadway, according to police reports. After being transported to a nearby hospital, Shetzler was sadly pronounced deceased.
The crash did not injure the 22-year-old Wilmington driver of the Hyundai. He stayed there and helped the police in their investigation. Boulden Boulevard was closed by officials for almost three hours in order to conduct an investigation and clear the area after the occurrence.
The crash is still under investigation by Delaware State Police. Police are currently conducting the investigation and have not yet determined whether to press charges.
