Thomas Berry Ellendale DE Death – Thomas Berry, 23, a native of Ellendale, Delaware, and a firefighter with the Georgetown Fire Company in Georgetown, Delaware has sadly passed away.
He was announced dead in a statement on social media that read “You were a great guy. You will always be one of Brooklynns favorite people. You were taking way too soon. But you were taken doing something you’d loved an that was helping people you will truly be missed RIP. Thomas Berry.”

Firefighter Thomas Berry died in the line of duty in Sussex County last evening. According to report, Thomas was rendering aid during a motor vehicle accident in Georgetown when the tragedy occurred.
He gave the ultimate sacrifice protecting and serving his community. The circumstances surrounding the incident is currently unknown as few details were made public by the department.
Who was Thomas Berry?
Thomas Berry was, a native of Ellendale, Delaware, and a graduate of Milford High School. He was a loving son to Tommy Berry and Jayme Argo. He was a loving brother to Steven Hughes and was loved and cherished by his cousin Britney Johnson and his aunts Mindy Berry and Carol Droney.
He was a volunteer at both Ellendale Volunteer Fire Company and Georgetown Volunteer Fire Company. He was also an employee of the Sussex County Department of Public Safety. He gave the ultimate sacrifice protecting and serving his community.
His grandmother Mercy Kramer in a social media post said “There aren’t enough words to thank Georgetown Fire Company for all the love and respect they showed for my Grandson and to all of our family. Ellendale Fire company was right there too as well as SCEMS. If you pray please keep all of them in your prayers as well as my family.
