Teigan Martin Car Accident, USF Death: The family of MLHS faculty member and LSEM teacher Kathy Martin and her husband Daniel Martin have been thrown into mourning following the tragic demise of their son Teigan Martin.
The player died in a car accident Monday morning, the family announced.
Who Was Teigan Martin?
Teigan Martin was the son of MLHS faculty member and LSEM teacher Kathy Martin and Daniel Martin. He graduated from Mayer Lutheran High School and was a Liberty transfer student at the University of South Florida.
Teigan Martin was the former Lutheran High School standout athlete and an ex-member of the Crusader volleyball team.
The Tight End and Defensive Tackle player led Mayer Lutheran High School to a state championship as a senior and was elected district MVP as a senior and All-Metro second-team.
What Happened To Teigan Martin?
The previous Liberty University student and resident of Mayer, Minn. died in a vehicle accident early Monday, 24 June, 2024, according to his family. The tragic accident left his entire family, teammates, friends, and community devastated.
Law enforcement agencies are investigating to know what led to the crash. Delano Herald Journal, Sports News reporter Kip Kovar wrote on X: “Absolutely terrible news hearing former Mayer Lutheran standout athlete Teigan Martin passed away this morning in a car accident.
Thoughts and prayers to the Martins during this tragic time. That’s an incredible family dealing with a lot right now”
The May 17-born player was described by his family as a ray of sunshine and a happy person who aimed for the top. He will be remembered for his resilient spirit, excellent teamwork and amazing family moments.
Prayers are being sent to the family of the amazing player. His mother Kathy is an MLHS faculty member and a Student Support Services teacher at Mayer Lutheran High School in Mayer, Minnesota. Teigan Martin obituary and funeral arrangements will be released by the family.
