The Franklin County Coroner’s office identified a 30-year-old man as the second person killed in a shooting late Friday night.

Hober Nolasco Hernandez died at 12 a.m. on Saturday after the shooting that happened about 11:50 p.m. Friday in the 700 block of Stelzer Road.

Durham and Hernandez were two of three people killed in shootings within 30 minutes spanning Friday night and early Saturday morning.

Columbus police received a call about 12:10 a.m. Saturday regarding a man shot in the 2000 block of Cornell Avenue on the city’s Northeast Side. Police found Malik Islam, 46, of the Milo-Grogan neighborhood lying in the street. He died a short time later at an area hospital.

Police said they believed Islam had been speaking with someone shortly before the shooting occurred.

Police have not publicly identified suspects in either shooting.
