Suresh Lohano Washington IN Death – Daviess Community Hospital internal medicine and pediatrics specialist Dr. Suresh Lohano of Washington, Indiana has sadly passed away.

He died after a tragic car accident on Wednesday 10th July 2024. He was announced dead through a Facebook post that said “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Dr. Suresh Lohano, a valued member of our medical team and beloved figure in our community to a tragic car accident today.”

How did the accident happen?
A fatal collision on Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 64 in Harrison County, Indiana has left authorities investigating the circumstances that led to the loss of life.

The incident occurred around 2 p.m. near the 99 mile-marker on I-64 E, involving a semitrailer and another vehicle. According to Indiana State Police, the semitrailer, traveling eastbound on I-64, encountered mechanical issues and eventually stalled in the fast lane.

The quick-thinking driver of the semitrailer immediately called 911 and made efforts to safely pull off the road, deploying emergency cones to alert other motorists while awaiting assistance from law enforcement.

Tragically, amidst these efforts, a Tesla approached the stalled semitrailer and failed to change lanes in time, resulting in a collision with the trailer. The driver of the Tesla, identified as 50-year-old Suresh Kumar Lohano, was pronounced dead at the scene by responding emergency personnel.

Authorities have indicated that the deceased driver of the Tesla was from out of state, but as of now, their identity has not been disclosed pending notification of family members. Indiana State Police continue to investigate the incident to determine the exact sequence of events leading to the collision.

They urge anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has pertinent information to come forward and assist with the investigation.
