Summer Wheaton Accident California – On Thursday night, there was another high-impact crash in Malibu on the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). One person died and two were hurt.
Around 10:15 p.m., the terrible accident happened near Carbon Canyon Road. News reports say that a 2019 Mercedes-Benz was going east on PCH when it quickly crossed the center median and hit a 2020 Cadillac that was going west.
The crash was so violent that the driver of the Cadillac died at the scene. First responders got there quickly and took the passenger in the Cadillac and the driver of the Mercedes-Benz to a nearby hospital. Both people were hurt, but their conditions were said to be stable and their injuries were not life-threatening.
The exact cause of the accident has not yet been found by the authorities. Investigations are still going on as deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department continue to talk to witnesses and gather proof.
The accident is the latest in a string of serious ones on this beautiful but notoriously dangerous stretch of highway. It shows how worried people are about road safety in the area.
“We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of life resulting from last night’s accident,” Malibu Mayor Steve Uhring said in a statement. “This heartbreaking incident underscores the importance of the City’s ongoing efforts to address safety on Pacific Coast Highway.”
