Tony Schaffner, 69, of Zeeland, North Dakota, and his grandson, Sterling Schaffner, 12, of Bismarck, North Dakota died in late July. The news of their death has left so many hearts deeply heart broken.
The information reaching us was that they might have died in a drowning accident while kayaking. The confirmation of this news remains unclear. But this was a very tragic incident as it claimed the lives of both grandfather and grandson.
The sweet boy will be missed by his parents, who spent most of their time with him. The wisdom and presence of Tony Schaffner will be also missed by his family and his community. Please do well to have the family in loving thoughts and prayers.

Funeral services of Tony and Sterling has been scheduled to be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, Aug. 5, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 N 4th St, Bismarck. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Sunday, Aug. 4, at Trinity Lutheran Church. A prayer service will begin at 7:00 PM.
