Shane Parrish Killian Alameda, CA, Nathalie Killian Death: 54-year-old Shane Parrish Killian has been charged with the murder of his wife, her parents, and son, and attempted murder of their one-year-old son following a domestic-related shooting.
The incident happened on Wednesday 10 July 2024 at an apartment on the 400 block of Kitty Hawk Road, Alameda, California.
Alameda Shooting Investigations
Authorities say a shooter opened fire at a residence in Alameda on Wednesday, murdering his wife, her parents, and his 6-year-old kid, while critically injuring a 1-year-old boy, according to authorities.
Alameda police said a resident on the 400 block of Kitty Hawk Road contacted 911 and informed authorities that their neighbor had been shot. According to authorities, three of the victims died on the scene, two were transferred to the hospital, and one died there.
Police supplied no motive for the shooting. Shane Killian was identified as the suspect in the deadly shooting, and he was detained on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
According to a press release, police officers “recovered multiple firearms and significant evidence” from inside the property. Police also stated that there was no information.

The victims were identified as Nathalie Killian (Shane’s wife) their son 6-year-old William Killian, and their second son 1-year-old Wesley James Killian ( currently in critical condition at the hospital.) Nathalie Killian’s parents.

Police Statement
“This is a tragic and sad incident. And I’ll say this, these are the actions of a coward. I know what happened, I have some idea of what happened, and this person’s actions are those of a coward, “The father-in-law did make some statements. We’re still trying to review those and understand what was said,” said Joshi. “Our officers do wear body-worn cameras. I’m not sure they captured that conversation.” Alameda Police Chief Nishant Joshi told reporters at a press briefing Thursday morning
Officers arrived to discover the father-in-law outside the house, and he gave statements to them before dying. The remaining fatalities were discovered inside the house. Killian was jailed in Santa Rita Jail on Thursday morning.

Shane studied Construction Engineering and Management at Purdue University and Pre-Engineering at Western Carolina University. He was a resident of Alameda, California, and was originally from Murphy, North Carolina. Shane Parrish Killian murdered his wife after a domestic altercation at her parent’s home in Alameda. His wife Nathalie Killian was from San Vicente, San Vicente.
