Sean Fader Oswego, IL resident, 17, died in Kendall County car accident – GoFundMe, Candlelight Vigil

Sean Fader Oswego, IL: Kendall County Sheriff’s Office says a student at Oswego High School was killed in a car accident on Friday.

The 17-year-old Sean Fader died in the crash that occurred around 8:51 PM on Friday, September 13, 2024, on Minkler Road.

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single-vehicle traffic crash that occurred at approximately 8:51 PM on Friday, September 13, 2024, on Minkler Road near the intersection with Reservation Road in unincorporated Oswego Township.

The preliminary investigation indicates a vehicle, driven by 17-year-old Sean Fader of Oswego, IL, was traveling southbound on Minkler Rd when the car left the roadway, striking a tree and catching fire. Fader was the only occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.

A GoFundMe Account has been created to help raise funds for Sean’s funeral. “Dear Friends and Family of the Faders and the entire Oswego Community, Bill, Nikki, and Paige are so grateful for your outpouring of love and support. A candlelight vigil event is currently in work with dew dates to be announced soon. This investigation is ongoing and being coordinated along with the Kendall County Coroner’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office received assistance from the Oswego Police Department and the Bristol-Kendall Fire Protection District.
