Scott Hendershot Obituary – Scott Hendershot, 60, was found passed away in his home on Sunday, May 5th, 2024. Scott is originally from Fort Morgan, Colorado, has lived in the boondocks near Orchard, Fort Collins, and finally landed in Greeley for the last several years.
Brother (Bones) was an immensely talented artist, a burgeoning inventor, tenacious problem-solver, fervent trash to treasures collector, a consummate penny-pincher, had chef-worthy culinary skills, and put his whole heart into perfecting everything he did.
He was extremely loyal to those closest to him. Scott is survived by his two sisters, Robyn Hendershot and Angy (Marc) Ledford, and nephew and nieces Kyrstin (Cody) Gaab, Brendan (Alice) Scheidt, Kayla Scheidt, and Abby (Wyatt) Ledford, as well as three great-nephews and a great-niece.
He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong childhood friends (you know who you are and forever a part of our family).
He is preceded in death by his father Richard Hendershot and his mother Jacqueline Hendershot and both paternal and maternal grandparents. Scott had been dealing with mental health challenges and drug addiction for most of his life.
Please, if you or someone you love is struggling, reach out to someone to silence those demons and strive for some semblance of peace within yourself. In lieu of gifts or flowers, please donate or volunteer to a mental health or addiction organization, or a suicide prevention program in his memory.
Feel free to leave a message of condolences and prayers for the family and friends of the deceased in the comments section as it will go a long way for them during this difficult time.
