Scott Campbell Obituary- Emergency services were called to the scene of the collision at Glenogle near Crianlarich at around 5.30pm on Sunday, May 5 involving two motorbikes – a Triumph Tiger and a Suzuki GSXR – and a Toyota Yaris car.
Scott Campbell, 50, rider of the Suzuki, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His family has released a statement through Police Scotland following the incident.
They said: “Our son Scott Campbell tragically lost his life on Sunday 5th May 2024; he will be sorely missed by all his family and everyone who knew him.
“Fly high our boy.”
The 54-year-old male rider of the Triumph was airlifted to Ninewells Hospital on Monday, May 6 where his condition was described as “critical”.
The two occupants of the Toyota car, a male driver and female passenger, did not require medical treatment.
The stretch of the major road was closed for ten hours to allow for crash investigations to take place, and fully reopened after 3.40am last Monday.
Police said investigations are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash.
Road Policing Inspector Andrew Thomson said: “Our thoughts remain with Scott’s family and friends as they continue to try to come to terms with what has happened.
“We’ll support them and keep them updated as our investigation progresses.
“I’d like to thank everyone who has come forward with information so far.
“I’m still keen to speak to anyone else who saw what happened or has dashcam footage from the area around the time.”
