Ryan Thomas Simmons, age 23, was born on January 13, 2001, to Gregory and Lindsay Simmons. His life was tragically cut short on June 15, 2024. He grew up and attended school in The Colony, Texas, where he formed many lifelong friendships and left an indelible mark on his community.
Ryan graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas, in May of 2023. During his high school years, he worked for Resto-Pros doing mold remediation, demonstrating his strong work ethic from a young age.
In his first year of college, Ryan worked for Caliber Collision before moving to Strive Concrete, where he worked diligently through most of his college years. Upon graduating, he accepted a position as a Project Manager with EB3 Construction, where he continued to exemplify dedication and pride in his work.
Ryan’s faith was an essential part of his life. He accepted Christ in 2018 and was a God-fearing husband, consistently radiating God’s love in all his relationships. On May 17, 2024, Ryan married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Lauren (Murphy) Simmons, in a beautiful ceremony that celebrated their deep bond and shared future.
His sudden passing just weeks later has left a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him. Ryan was a beacon of light, known for his genuine care and kindness. He took the time to get to know each person, truly loving everyone for who they were.
He lived life to the fullest, bringing joy and compassion to strangers and friends alike. His infectious spirit and unwavering love for others will be remembered and cherished by all.
Ryan leaves behind his beloved wife, Lauren (Murphy) Simmons, of Haslet, Texas; his devoted parents, Gregory and Lindsay Simmons of Springtown, Texas; his cherished sister, Allison Ford of Springtown, Texas; his paternal grandmother, Wanda Simmons of Argyle, Texas;
his maternal grandfather, Thomas Bennison of Dallas, Texas; his loving aunts, Andrea and Michelle Simmons of Crossroads, Texas; his supportive Uncle Blake Bennison and Aunt Clare Bennison of Farmers Branch, Texas; his close cousins, Jacob and Dani Simmons; and countless other family members and friends. Each person in Ryan’s life mattered deeply to him, and his memory will live on through the love he shared with them. In honoring Ryan’s memory, his family and friends will continue to celebrate his life and the incredible impact he had on everyone he met. Ryan’s legacy of kindness, hard work, and love will forever be remembered and cherished.
