Ryan P. Comas Death: U.S. Coast Guard Aviation Survival Technician 3rd Class, has died unexpectedly in Alaska

Ryan P. Comas Death – On Tuesday, June 25, 2024, Ryan P. Comas, a U.S. Coast Guard Aviation Survival Technician 3rd Class, abruptly went away.

His sudden passing has caused a great deal of grief to his family, friends, and fellow Coast Guard members, as well as beyond.

Ryan served with honor and distinction at an air station in Alaska after being assigned there. Those who knew him will always feel a deep hole in their hearts, and the community is still in shock at the loss of such a bright and hardworking person.

Coast Guard Alaska announced Ryan’s passing, highlighting the deep effect his loss has had on the neighborhood. In addition to AST3 Comas’ family and friends, a large number of members of our CG community are impacted by this tragedy.

The official statement said, “Please respect their grieving process and provide support for your shipmates to help them cope with our tragic loss.” The request for courtesy and assistance highlights the strong sense of unity and family that permeates the Coast Guard, emphasizing the necessity of support for one another through such trying times and the shared loss.

Ryan’s tenure with the Coast Guard was characterized by notable accomplishments and turning points. His unit celebrated and felt pride on the day he was ordered to go to AST (Aviation Survival Technician) A-School. The 68-person crew of their cutter rejoiced at the news, as Andrew Moncrief remembered.

“It was announced over the cutter, he was notified, and the email was received.” We were all his hype guys. Before he started school, he was successful. After that, he was successful,” Moncrief stated.

The tremendous camaraderie and excitement that characterized Ryan’s connections inside the Coast Guard, as well as the great regard in which he was regarded, are demonstrated by this outpouring of support and enthusiasm from his colleagues.

The Coast Guard community is now uniting to grieve for Ryan Comas and provide mutual support during this trying time. A memorial service honoring the AST3 Comas is being planned; more information will be released as it becomes available.
