Longtime Columbus, Georgia resident Rick Mcknight died unexpectedly, according to reports. Rick made everyone feel so incredibly special with his warm greetings and genuine kindness.
“I’m saddened to hear that my friend, Rick McKnight, has passed away. I have known this incredible man for nearly my entire life, and his impact on my journey has been profound.
It all began with my early days, perhaps modeling for him at the Kiddy Shop when I was just a little girl. I have wonderful memories of shopping with my mother at McKay’s and seeing Rick and Marquette McRae McKnight dining at Minnie’s throughout the years.”

Who was Rick Mcknight?
Rick Mcknight was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia. He graduated from Auburn University. Rick was the former Director of Education at RiverCenter for the Performing Arts. He was happily married to Marquette McRae McKnight. Rick was the founder of FABArts.
Many worked with Rick right from his time at Warren’s in Peachtree Mall, to McKay’s and Kiddie Shoppe in Main Street Village, to Bradley Park. He was a character, that many respected and loved as a friend, and a boss. He was a true gem of a human.
