Who Was Richard Bué?
Richard Bué was the son of Antonio and Maria Alice, and the brother of Sandra. Richard’s time in Carleton Athletics began at just 15 years old as the assistant equipment manager for Ravens football. Working alongside Wayne ‘The Colonel’ Baird, Richard would begin a journey that saw him serve in roles in the Tuck Shop and Carleton Camps, among many others in the department. A commerce grad, Richard and Baird coached the Ravens women’s hockey club team from 2000-2003, helping to lay the foundation for today’s program.
Richard has remained a staple in the Carleton community even after departing in 2016 to join the Winnipeg Jets organization as the Video Coach for the AHL’s Manitoba Moose. His legacy of love, humour, and never-ending passion for sport and community, will forever remain in our hearts.
