Rachel Hoeft Accident Death, Brooklyn man faces felony charges in deadly crash

Rachel Hoeft Accident Death – In connection with a fatal collision that occurred in the Town of Rutland one month ago, a driver who is twenty years old is facing a criminal charge.

According to the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office, the collision took place in the 300 block of Lake Kegonsa Road at approximately 9:40 p.m. on August 22.

A woman named Rachel Hoeft, who was 33 years old and from Fort Atkinson, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, according to the office of the medical examiner.

Hoeft was a passenger in the vehicle, and she passed away on August 27 at a nearby hospital as a result of the injuries she sustained in the collision.

Elise Schaffer, who serves as the Public Information Officer for the Dane County Sheriff’s Office, has confirmed that the driver, Darien Johnson, was transported to the Dane County Jail.

Records from the court indicate that he is being accused of homicide by impaired use of a vehicle. Last Monday, he made his initial appearance in court, and the court decided that he would be required to post a cash bail of $100,000. It is anticipated that he will give another appearance in court for a preliminary hearing.
