Oxnard Fire – Oxnard Police Department: TRAFFIC ALERT- Wednesday, March 6th. Oxnard Fire Department and Oxnard Police Department are on the scene of a major structure fire in the area of Oxnard Boulevard and Cooper Road. Oxnard Boulevard is closed in both directions from Cooper Road to Roderick Avenue and is expected to remain closed to traffic into the afternoon of Wednesday, March 6th. Motorists traveling through Oxnard are encouraged to avoid the area using alternate routes.

There is no information regarding injuries, power outages, or the cause of the fire available at this time. ‘The Colonia Incident: Multiple fire resources. Including Oxnard Fire, Ventura City Fire, Naval Base Fire & Ventura County Fire. Are currently battling a 2-alarm structure fire. Located at the old Sunkist Building. At 245 North Colonia Road. All train services have been halted. Firefighters were dispatched last night @ 10:27 p.m.

At least 13 fire engines. 4-Ladder trucks. And multiple battalion chiefs from different agencies. Are currently in command of this large fire. Gold Coast Paramedics. Including a supervisor on scene. Oxnard Fire Dept is currently on the scene of a major structure fire at Colonia Rd and Oxnard Blvd at the Lemon Packing facility. Flames, embers, and smoke are high-intensity. Please avoid the area for your safety and that of public safety officials. This has also led to power being shut off in the surrounding area for the time being.
