Lee Palmateer Obituary – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Lee Palmateer, who left us all too soon at the age of 42 years old.

Lee’s life was a vibrant tapestry woven with love, laughter, and the profound impact he made on everyone around him.

He passed away peacefully in his home in Whitby on Wednesday, February 19th, 2025, surrounded by the warm embrace of his family—the very love that has defined his life.

Lee is survived by his beloved wife, Nicki (nee Bell), a partnership that exemplified mutual respect and unwavering support. Together, they raised two beautiful children, Sawyer and Lennon, who were the center of Lee’s world.

He poured his heart into parenthood, always striving to create a nurturing and joyful environment for his family. His laughter resonated in their home and will forever echo in their memories.

Born to devoted and loving parents, Robert and Valerie Palmateer, in the close-knit community of Campbellford, Lee enjoyed a childhood filled with warmth, care, and community spirit.

The values instilled in him by his parents would serve as the foundation for the compassionate man he became. Lee’s love for his community was evident in the relationships he built and the support he offered to those in need.

His memory will forever be cherished and remembered by his brothers, Dion Palmateer (wife Dana) and Joel Palmateer (wife Laura). The camaraderie shared between the brothers was deeply rooted in love and shared experiences, and they will carry his spirit with them always. Lee’s life touched many, including his beloved nieces—Isabella, Payton, Evelina, and Rosalie—who will remember him as the doting uncle who always made time for play and adventure.

Lee’s family extended beyond blood relations. His dear in-laws, Colette and Anthony Bell, embraced him as a son, and the relationships he built with them were cherished. Lee cultivated meaningful bonds with his sisters and brothers-in-law—Mary-Jo Garvey (Aaron), Amy Bell (Steve), and Jess Lonergan (Kevin)—creating a family circle filled with love and laughter. He took immense joy in being an uncle to his nieces and nephews, Molly, Liam, Lucy, Isla, and Maddox, and his influence in their lives will be felt for years to come.

The love Lee radiated was felt by many, and this list of individuals who will miss him is extensive. His natural ability to connect with others was a gift; whether through a warm smile, a supportive gesture, or simply lending an ear, Lee knew how to make those around him feel valued and appreciated. His loyal friendship was unmatched, as he always stood by his friends through thick and thin.
