What was Nathaniel Wilcox’s cause of death?
Nathaniel “Nate” Wilcox was a resident of Culter Bay, Florida. He was 22 years old. Wilcox was a fireman applicant who was receiving training at Station 11 in Fort Myers, according to Tracy McMillion, the Chief of the Fort Myers Fire Department.
During the course of the physical assessment evaluation, he experienced serious medical issues. It was revealed by the Chief during a press conference that Wilcox did not exhibit any signs of heat exhaustion.
As soon as Wilcox finished the test, he informed them that he was not feeling well, and they provided assistance to him, according to McMillion. However, he stated that there was nothing else that they could have done on the scene from a medical standpoint to influence the outcome of the scenario.
The chief is currently conducting an investigation into this situation in order to prevent it from happening again. He is currently waiting for the results of the autopsy.
