Nanango Car Crash – A serious crash in the South Burnett has resulted in a triple fatality. Three people died in a collision between a B-Double truck and a vehicle at Nanango on Thursday morning. Emergency services were called to the corner of the D’Aguilar Highway and Nanango-Tarong Road about 5:45am.

At 8:15 am, the highway was still closed with police urging motorists to avoid the area. Police say an 81-year-old woman, 84-year-old man and a 54-year-old man were killed in the car that collided with the truck.
A QAS spokesperson confirmed that paramedics assessed four people at the scene. Three had suffered critical, life-threatening injuries. The truck driver who is in his 50s, was taken to the Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition.
“Driver are told to avoid the area”
This is the same intersection where four teenagers were injured, one critically, when their allegedly stolen vehicle crashed on May 7. The Queensland Ambulance Service says there was heavy fog in the area at the time. Drivers are urged to avoid the area. Queensland Ambulance said “multiple patients” were being assessed. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
