Emily Hansen of Lansing, Michigan, has tragically died on September 10. Authorities have identified the victim in the shooting at the Dewitt Township apartment complex as 26-year-old Emily Hansen.
The incident is being investigated as a homicide, and they say a suspect is being held on an open murder charge; they have not yet filed formal charges against him.
They say they responded to a call at the Fountain Park Apartments at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, where they discovered Hansen had been shot; she was pronounced dead at the scene. They ask anyone with information to contact the Dewitt Township Police Department. Her funeral plans and obituary will be announced by her family at later date.

Lansing police responded to a report of a shooting at the 300 block of River Front Drive at about 2:50 a.m. on Monday. When they arrived, they discovered a large crowd of people and several shooting victims. The teenager was killed in the early morning shooting in Lansing on Monday.
