Mike Streeto Branford CT Death – Legendary Ringo drummer Mike Streeto of Branford, Connecticut has passed away. He was announced dead by a closed friend in a social media publication that reads:
“Mike Streeto you were of my best friends in the world since high school. We just talked Thursday afternoon and he was telling me about his upcoming gig. Before we hung up we both said I love you. RIP Mike.”
Who was Mike Streeto?
Mike Streeto was a native of East Haven, Connecticut, and an alumnus of East Haven High School. Mike Streeto has spent the majority of his life on the drum kit.
For the past twenty years, he has alternated between playing Ringo Starr from The Beatles. Although Mike works and lives in Branford, he frequently travels for his musical profession.
His current band, The Hofners, just performed on Broadway. He has also had spells with Fab Fourever, The MerseyBeat, and Beatles tribute performances in Las Vegas, Tahoe, Fort Lauderdale, Atlantic City, and many other places.
Performing with the Hofners is a far cry from all the previous shows he’s done, such as filling in for Beatlemania and performing at Foxwoods with “Legends in Concert.”
Mike is the manager and front man of The Hofners. After The Beatles released “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” on June 1, 1967, music was never the same. It was the start of “The Summer of Love” and marked the advent of conceptual recordings, FM radio, and album rock.
Mike Streeto obituary and funeral arrangements will be released by the family at a later date.
