On Saturday, July 6, 2024, at around five o’clock in the afternoon, the New Braunfels Police Department was called to the 900 block of Pumpkin Ridge in response to a welfare concern over a female who had made threats to hurt both herself and her boyfriend.
Both individuals were unable to communicate with their families for a number of days.
Upon entering the residence, law enforcement officers found a male and a female deceased in a bedroom of the residence. Both of the victims had been shot to death, resulting in their deaths. The New Braunfels Police Department (NBPD) is conducting a Homicide/Suicide investigation into the occurrence.
The preliminary investigation reveals that the female suspect, identified as Abigail Garza, 32, from Robbstown, shot Michael Burrer, 45, from New Braunfels, Texas, before turning the gun on herself.
