Melissa Brinkmann Denver CO Accident Investigations – Law enforcement agencies said two adults and two children were sent to the hospital after a small plane crashed at Oberon and Carr in Arvada on Friday morning.

Arvada police dispatched emergency services to the neighborhood after receiving reports of the incident around 9:30 a.m.

What happened in Arvada, CO?
According to the FAA, a single-engine Beechcraft 35 plane carrying four people crashed around 9:30 a.m. Friday. The plane crashed while flying from Centennial Airport to Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport in Broomfield.

About 10-15 minutes after takeoff, the jet began to experience engine problems. According to investigations, the pilot attempted to land on a road, which is considered a safe option in an emergency but was unsuccessful.

Pilot: I’m losing power quickly. I might have to put it down somewhere near Standley.
Air Traffic Control: Let me know if there’s anything I can do.
Pilot: Ahhh, I don’t know what to do. I’m gonna have to put it down in a field somewhere

Arvada Plane Crash Victims Identified
The victims of the Arvada plane crash have been identified as Managing Director and Account Executive at Accenture Melissa Brinkmann, her partner Tom Sawyer, and her two children.

Brinkmann is a Healthcare Managing Director, West Payer Portfolio Lead, Denver Strategy Consulting Lead, Client Account Executive, Board Member, and mother of three boys.
