Megan Keleman Stow, OH, died; Suspect Jason Williams, of Cuyahoga Falls, died in murder-suicide

Megan Keleman Stow, OH, Death The two people who were shot dead in a suspected murder-suicide at a Taco Bell drive-through in Stow on Wednesday night were identified Thursday.

The Summit County Medical Examiner ruled that Jason Williams, 53, of Stow, fired the shots before turning the gun on himself. He murdered Megan Keleman, 25, of Stow.

Keleman died from gunshot wounds to the neck, while Williams died from bullet wounds to the head. Both were pronounced deceased at the spot. The shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Taco Bell on 993 Graham Road in Stow, near the Cuyahoga Falls border. Stow Police Chief Jeffrey Film held a press conference Thursday to provide additional information on the shooting.

Witnesses told police that Williams began honking his horn at Keleman after she stopped in front of him to enter the drive-thru queue, Film said. He then hit the back of her automobile.

Keleman begged the Taco Bell employee over the speaker to contact the police after her car was hit. Police subsequently received numerous calls reporting Williams exiting his car, shooting Keleman, and then shooting himself.

A motivation has yet to be discovered, and there is no known tie between the two, according to Film. According to the film, Keleman had a puppy in his car. Rubber City Rescue collected the unhurt dog, bathed it, and returned it to Keleman’s family. The film stated that there were “many” witnesses to the incident, but did not provide a particular number.

The Summit County Medical Examiner, Stow Police Department, and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Inquiry are all involved in the inquiry. According to Film, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is involved because Stow does not have enough homicide investigators to handle the case. The latest homicide in the city occurred five years ago.

Keleman’s family stated Stow police on Thursday, which said in part: “In light of the recent circumstances, our family is facing an enormously sad loss of Megan Elizabeth Keleman. We appreciate the community’s support and hope that our plea for privacy is granted so that we can continue to focus on supporting one another during this difficult time.”
