Max Harper Westport, CT resident died in car accident involving dirt bike, Staples High School mourns Maximilien

Max Harper Westport, CT Death: 18-year-old Maximilien “Max” Harper has been identified as the teenager killed in a vehicle accident involving a dirt bike in Westport, Connecticut on Wednesday. Happer was a student at Staples High School.

Westport Police Department: Westport Police Investigating Serious Motor Vehicle Accident (Westport, CT) At approximately 3:19 pm, Westport Police responded to the area of 86 Old Hill Road on the report of a serious motor vehicle accident.

The Westport Police Accident Investigation Team is conducting the investigation and has closed Old Hill Road between Partrick Road and Broadview Road. Please avoid the area if possible. More information will be released as it becomes available.

Maximilien Harper died at the spot after colliding with a dump truck while riding his dirt bike southbound on Old Hill Road, according to authorities. The victim was said to be a student at Staples High School.

According to investigators, in an attempt to escape the collision, the dump truck drove off the road, collided with numerous trees, and landed on its side, spilling all of its contents. The driver of the truck was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to accounts, the 18-year-old died from injuries sustained in the incident. The route remains closed while law enforcement investigates the event. Staples H. S. has not released any official statement following the incident. The motorcycle was damaged.
