Matt Eggert St Paul MN Death – Family, friends, and the entire community are mourning the death of beloved Spring Lake Park High School Math teacher and alumnus, Matthew ‘Matt’ Eggert who has sadly passed away.
He was announced dead in a statement released by the SLPHS Principal Matthew Boucher, Ed. D. Matt Eggert, who was a resident of St Paul, Minnesota, was popular and well respected Math Teacher and Coding Teacher in the Saint Paul Public Schools District.
Matt Eggert’s cause of death
According to the statement by SLPHS principal, Matt Eggert passed away following a courageous battle with cancer.
The statement read “This past December he was diagnosed with cancer and continued to approach each day with optimism and a sense of humor. I learned, through a colleague, that he was able to travel to Paris with his brother for this year’s Olympics.”
Who was Matt Eggert?
Matthew Eggert a resident of St Paul, Minnesota, and a Valedictorian and 1999 alumnus of Saint Paul Public Schools. He attended the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities from 1999 – 2003 where he obtained his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, and also obtained his Masters in Teaching from Hamline University from 2012 to 2017.
He worked as an Teaching Assistant at Roseville Area Schools from 2011 to 2012 and work at Science Museum of Minnesota as a Gallery Supervisor and Team Leader from 2009 to 2012.
Matt was a Math Enrichment Tutor at Minnesota Math Corps from 2012 to 2013 and also a Test Reader at Data Recognition Corporation in 2014. He was a Student Teacher at East Ridge High School in the South Washington County Schools in 2014 and was a Math Teacher at Spring Lake Park Schools from 2014 to 2021.
