According to several sources, Makena Doane passed away after battling with postpartum depression. A family friend in a social media post said “Staying at home with kids is exhausting mentally and physically and no one should feel ashamed or silenced for their feelings.
Postpartum can be deadly for some women and that’s not talked about enough. It can take a woman up to 3 THREE years to get to where she starts to feel normal again and it’s not taken seriously.”
