Lyonette Hale-Thomas Waldron AR Death – Agent Lyonette Hale-Thomas of Waldron, Arkansas, was a member of the 15th Drug Task Force.
Her death occurred on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, leaving her friends and family shocked and devastated. She was a committed and devoted daughter, wife, mother and colleague. She was loved by all that crossed path with her. The cause of her death is unknown.
Lyonette Hale-Thomas graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Sociology and Criminal Justice after attending Waldron High School.
With a career spanning four counties, including Logan County, Lyonette was an agent with the 15th Judicial District Drug Task Force, based in Danville. Her unshakable dedication to justice and community service was evident in her work.
Prior to her influential time on the Drug Task Force, Lyonette was a Probation/Parole Officer in the Logan County office, where she made major accomplishments.
Her move from parole and probation to a specialist drug enforcement position demonstrated her adaptability and commitment to changing the law at many levels of law enforcement. Lyonette made links across the country and had a profound impact on a great number of individuals through her work.
Her profound personal influence on people around her is the only thing that can compare to her professional accomplishments. In addition to leading with integrity as president of the Arkansas Narcotic Officers Association, Lyonette’s dedication and enthusiasm served as an inspiration to others. She was an extraordinary officer, friend, and leader, and her influence went well beyond her work responsibilities.
But Lyonette’s real talent was her ability to establish personal connections with people. People who had a close relationship with her remember her as a wonderful friend and even great person.
She was a treasured part of her community because of her bright energy and compassionate nature. She was a source of light and joy, someone who effortlessly lifted others up and brought out the best in them.
Lyonette had a unique ability to radiate true joy, a quality that made her presence a true blessing in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She was a delight and a light, someone who uplifted others and brought out the best in them with ease. For those who were lucky enough to know her, Lyonette’s presence was a tremendous blessing because of her exceptional capacity to exude genuine joy.
