Lydia Ann Hoyos Obituary – Robeson County Sheriff’s Office says a Rowland Man wanted for First Degree Murder. Media ReleaseSunday, April 14, 2024, Robeson County Sheriff’s Office investigators are searching for a suspect in connection to a murder that occurred this morning.
On Sunday, April 14, 2024, at approximately 5:52 a.m., the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office responded to 150 Levi Rd., Rowland about an individual shot.
Lydia Ann Hoyos, 36, of Rowland was found deceased inside of her residence upon the arrival of the deputies. Scotti Dewayne Tyler, 38, of Rowland is wanted for first-degree murder and nine (9) counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling.
Tyler and Hoyos were recently in a relationship and shared two (2) children. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Tyler or the case is asked to contact the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office at 910-671-3170.

Scottie Dewayne Tyler, now 38 years old and residing in Rowland, North Carolina, is wanted for first-degree murder as well as nine charges of discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling environment.
There was a recent relationship between Tyler and Hoyos, during which they had two children together. Wilkins has stated that the inquiry is taking place in the vicinity of Levi Road and NC 710, which is just outside of Rowland.
The other of three was a graduate of Fayetteville State University. She lived in Pembroke, North Carolina, and was originally from Maxton. Law enforcement agencies have requested that anyone who may have information regarding the whereabouts of Tyler contact the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office at the following number: 910.671.3170. An investigation is now being conducted.
