A GoFundMe fundraiser was created by a cousin of Luis and Erik to help cover funeral expenses. “My cousins [were] responsible, caring, and the [funniest] souls in the world,” the organizer said. “They [were] loved by those around them and always made sure they brought positivity to wherever they went. They [were] taken from our sides way too soon and with so much left to accomplish.” Another GoFundMe campaign was launched to help cover the funeral expenses for Alix, who was remembered as a “beloved daughter.” Both tributes have raised over $30,000 as of the afternoon of May 29.
