Los Osos High School Suicide – Law enforcement agencies are investigating a report of a dead body found on Foothill Freeway in Rancho Cucamonga, California, on Saturday.
Authorities say the remains of a teenager were located early Saturday, September 14, 2024.
210 Freeway Suicide
The teen was identified as a student of Los Osos High School. According to reports, the California Highway Patrol, fire service, and police department were called to the overpass after human remains were located by drivers traveling on the freeway.
Multiple departments arrived at the scene where the dead body of Emily Gold, a resident of Sylmar, CA was found. Law enforcement agencies say no foul play is suspected and no suspect is being sought in the death incident.
CHP says the teen died after intentionally jumping over the freeway. Police say the 210 Freeway was closed to traffic following the accident. Los Osos High School says counselors will be available at the school location for students and parents affected by Gold’s death.
