The Cincinnati Police Department responded to reports of gunfire around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2025, in the 1600 block of Pasadena Avenue.

Officers arrived to find Hyde suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, sprawled in the street. Despite efforts to save him, Hyde was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries, leaving the community in shock.

The shooting occurred outside in the residential area of Pasadena Avenue, near Sydney Road, a quiet street in College Hill known for its tight-knit feel. Police have confirmed that Hyde was struck several times, though the exact number of shots remains unclear.

Emergency responders rushed him into surgery upon arrival at the medical center, but his wounds proved too severe. The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office later confirmed his identity and the cause of death, marking another tragic loss to gun violence in the city.
