Lake County Motorcycle Accident: Roadblock as 80-year-old Motorcyclist died in crash with traffic signs

Lake County Motorcycle Accident – An 80-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Wednesday that caused a roadblock in Lake County.

The crash occurred just after 3 p.m. on County Road 435 and Dubsdread Drive in Sorrento.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the motorcycle rider was traveling south on CR-435 approaching Dubsdread Drive when he veered off the road, struck two traffic signs, and then a tree, causing the man to be thrown from the motorcycle.

The rider was transported to AdventHealth Apopka, and he was pronounced dead. The roadblock is impacting both directions on Dubsdread Drive, FHP said.

The crash remains under investigation. No additional information has been provided at this time.
