Kenneth Broussard Prairieville LA Death – According to Louisiana State Police troopers, a driver of an incoming car crossed the center line, killing the 28-year-old father of two boys.
On Saturday, June 29, just after midnight, Kenneth M. Broussard II, 28, of Prairieville, passed away on Highway 16 close to Bailey Lane in Livingston Parish. An incoming driver struck Broussard’s vehicle head-on.
Despite being correctly strapped, Broussard did not survive his wounds. The driver of the approaching car is hospitalized due to many fractured bones. Abigail Wheat, 22, of Watson, was a passenger in the car with him when it crashed.
As of right now, the driver of the approaching car’s identity remains unknown. Although toxicology samples were collected, no additional information has been made public as of yet ,Loves ones called him ‘Kenny.’
The 28-year-old grew up in Prairieville near Fred’s on the River and graduated St. Amant High School in 2014. He had recently moved to Denham Springs. The night of the crash, his mother Bridget Broussard said that her son was headed to a friend’s house.
“He did anything and everything he could for the people he loved. He was a devoted father. He loved his kids more than anything in the world,” said Broussard. Kenny Broussard had two boys he leaves behind, ages 3 and 10. He was a carpenter but also worked as a handyman to extra money. His mom added that he was a hard worker and ‘jack-of-all-trades.’
“Kenny was my wild child from the day he started walking until the day he passed away. He was a prankster,” said Broussard. “My favorite memory is the pranks we played on each other. He put a live alligator in the bathtub one time for me to find when I woke up. He also put one of those snakes that grows 20 times the size when they are in water. He put one in the toilet and tied a string to the head of it. He attached it to the lid of the toilet and then closed it. He left it waiting to get me but got his pawpaw instead.”
Now, his mother is left planning her son’s funeral after she’s already been through an extremely tough last few months.
“My middle child was in a car accident and then my granddaughter had a liver transplant and now my oldest is dead all within six months. It’s not fair. I don’t know how we are going to pay for it but we are going to figure it out,” said Broussard.
