Tributes
Family and close friends pay their tributes, ”The world lost a great soul. She could make you laugh and make you feel better. Her energy was infectious. Truly one-of-a-kind. There will never be another person like her.
She will be forever missed! She was amazingly talented and so special. I was lucky to have gotten to know her! We shared many stages together, had fun shenanigans and lovely/funny chats. I met her through the Indy Music Scene. She was in my favorite Indy-based band, manners, please. She was just amazing on stage. She lit it up everytime! She was a true star.
She also said the funniest most crazy things I had heard anyone say on stage. SO FUNNY! I will miss seeing her randomly at the Melody Inn. I will miss seeing her dance. She had no fucks to give and embraced being a little strange. She was authentically just herself, Kat. I will never forget her. Rest in Power, Katrina Bolyard” Rocky
”I just found out the fierce & irreplaceable Katrina Bolyard passed away, which my mind refuses to accept since I just saw her biking in my neighborhood last week, and also because she was a force of life which seemed impenetrable. But life is often very delicate and shitty.
I knew Kat since high school, but we bonded after I moved back to Indy after college. I was a manners pls fan since day one and they were one of the first bands I loved which played Healer shortly after we first opened in 2017 (during our underground Healthnet days).
I also helped film their music video which is attached below since everyone should see it. She was an immense talent, incredible performer, and she definitely lived life to the fullest. Stay strange, wherever you are.” Panfil
”Katrina Bolyard I’ll miss you singing to me like how me and my best friend Michael Curtis do. I knew you were a kindred spirit, then. The first time I met you, you asked, “what can you not do?” Well, what I can’t do is take the loss of your untimely death for granted.
Your flowers will be in the form of a song that I’ve made in dedication to all of my buddies that have passed on. It’s just like the pup that the song is named after. Glenda. Cycle around a bit. Crack open a beer and sit down somewhere. You never stayed still long enough to enjoy that part. You can do that now. And say hello to Chase Blackburn for me. I bet he is happy to see you. Say what’s up to Grelle too.” John Allen Jones II
