According to a property record and James Gutzman, the man was found dead in his St. Paul home last week. He was 37 years old, police said on Tuesday. Police are investigating the death of Andrew Gutzman in the South Como area as a homicide.
Last week, someone called 911 at about 7:30 a.m. after a woman approached them and reported that a man was dead. Officers discovered Gutzman in a home on Hatch Avenue near Chatsworth Street, and St. Paul Fire medics pronounced him dead.
The woman who reported Andrew Gutzman’s death was taken to police headquarters to be interviewed by investigators, police said last week. James Gutzman claimed that police had not given him any information about the investigation into the death of his only child.
