Juan José Angeles Lopez Death – On June 26th, a man in East Orange, New Jersey was killed when a tree fell on him during a thunderstorm.
The victim, Juan José Angeles Lopez, was having a barbecue in his backyard when the winds intensified and caused the tree to fall on him.
Despite efforts to save him, Lopez was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital. He leaves behind his pregnant wife and two-year-old daughter.
East Orange Mayor Ted Green expressed condolences for Lopez’s family and announced that the city is accepting donations of clothing and baby items for them.
The thunderstorms in New Jersey that day resulted in severe storm warnings being issued for several areas. Apart from the incident in East Orange, there were reports of fallen trees causing damage and injuries across various counties.
Among those affected by the storms was a woman in Park Ridge, N.J., who suffered injuries after a tree fell through her home’s ceiling. She was taken to hospital but later released.
