John Baker Motorcycle Accident: Baker City, OR man killed in Champaign County motorcycle accident

John Baker Motorcycle Accident – After a deadly motorcycle crash in Champaign County on Sunday night, two persons have died.

The Champaign County Sheriff’s Office released a press statement stating that on July 7, 2024, at 5:16 p.m., deputies were called to the scene of a motorcycle-related two-vehicle collision at the intersection of East State Route 29 and South Ludlow Rd.

John Howard Baker, 65, of Huber Heights was operating a Harley Davidson motorbike southbound on South Ludlow Road when emergency personnel arrived on the scene. Baker ran a red light at the intersection and ended up in front of a pickup truck being driven by Carrollton resident Kevin Criss, thirty.

Baker was thrown from the motorcycle, as was his passenger, Huber Heights resident Alisa Britton, 51. At the scene, Baker was pronounced deceased. After being taken to the hospital, Britton was declared dead when they arrived. Treatment was given to Criss and his passengers on the spot.
