Jireh was married to Robin and was the eldest son of Joel and Barb Goertzen. The community of Gladstone and his family are deeply mourning his loss.

A Fundraiser was created by Duane Goertzen for the Goertzen family and Redemption Moto (a local bike shop with a mentoring center for youth). The account read ”In memory of Jireh Goertzen the eldest son of Joel and Barb Goertzen, who ran ahead of us all to Heaven on Sunday, June 23rd, 2024.
As one way to be the hands and feet of Jesus, this fund has been created to support the family and Redemption Moto; a Gladstone bike shop with a center for mentoring youth. Proceeds go to both the Goertzen family and Redemption Moto.
The fundraiser aims to raise $20,000, with proceeds going towards the family and Redemption Moto, reflecting Jireh’s passion for mentoring and his love for the community. As of now, CAD 5,865 has been raised through 21 donations.
